ROCK SCENE complete run
This magazine's place in rock (and especially punk) history cannot be overstated with the earliest appearances of the New York Dolls, Ramones, Kiss and many others. The set includes all 54 issues spanning 1973 to 1982 plus a couple of bonus Backstage Scrapbook issues (the two variants of #1 along with #2). Condition overall is excellent with some shelf wear to a cover here and there. All issues are complete and unclipped.

With its over-the-top visuals and off-kilter local coverage, few early punk mags hold a candle to Sluggo. Only six issues published in all, five of them in Austin. Intentionally misleading issue numbering on the cover. Despite saying #3, this is actually issue #2. Gotta love it. The Next, Ramones, Dils and all manner of Austin coverage.

The last issue from 1981 that emerged after a move from Austin to San Francisco. This swan song includes a boardgame Rocky VII , the Game of Industrial Collapse (game pieces intact). Also of note in this 1981 finale: a full-page ad for the Fuck Your Wife "death tape" from a San Antonio outfit calling themselves the Butthole Surfers. Minty condition!

With its over-the-top visuals and off kilter local coverage, few early punk mags can compare to Sluggo. Only six issues published in all, five of them in Austin.
